You are keeping the car
If the vehicle is staying on your drive for the next few years, the cost per mile of a new tyre works out well. You buy once and forget about that corner for a long time.
New tyres
Brand new tyres for cars, vans, 4x4s and commercial vehicles, fitted and balanced at our Chelston Business Park workshop. Recognised brands, sensible prices.
What you get
A new tyre gives you the full depth of tread the manufacturer intended and the longest possible life before you have to think about it again. If you are keeping the vehicle for a while, covering serious mileage, or simply want the reassurance of factory-fresh rubber, new is the right call and we will supply and fit it here in Wellington.
We stock across the common car, van and 4x4 sizes and can order in where we need to. Brand matters to a lot of drivers, so it is worth saying that our new stock includes recognised names such as Goodyear rather than whatever happens to be cheapest that week. If you have a preference, tell us and we will work to it.
Every new tyre is fitted and balanced on site. Balancing is not an optional extra here, it is part of the job, because an unbalanced new tyre will vibrate through the steering and wear unevenly from the first week.
Making the call
We sell plenty of part-worn tyres and we are happy to. But there are situations where buying new is clearly the better decision, and we would rather tell you that than take the smaller sale.
If the vehicle is staying on your drive for the next few years, the cost per mile of a new tyre works out well. You buy once and forget about that corner for a long time.
Reps, delivery drivers and anyone doing motorway miles will chew through tread quickly. Starting from full depth means longer between visits and fewer interruptions to the working week.
A full matching set is easiest to achieve with new tyres. Same brand, same pattern, same age, wearing at the same rate on all four corners.
Common questions
Yes. Our new tyre stock includes names drivers will know, Goodyear among them. Tell us your size and what you want from the tyre and we will tell you which brands we can put on the car.
Where the size is in stock, yes. Matching sets are the ideal way to buy new, because all four tyres then wear at the same rate and the car behaves consistently at every corner.
We do. New van and commercial vehicle tyres are fitted at the workshop the same as car tyres, with the correct load ratings for the weight the vehicle actually carries.
It depends on the vehicle and how long you are keeping it. New tyres give you the most tread and the longest life. On an older car or a second vehicle, a pressure tested part-worn tyre often makes more financial sense. We will give you an honest view either way.
Call the workshop with your tyre size and we will quote you fitted and balanced, with no surprises at the counter.
