What to have ready
Wheels are fussier than tyres about what fits, so a couple of details up front will save a lot of back and forth. If you can get us these, we can usually give you an answer on the phone.
- Make, model and year of the vehicle
- Wheel diameter and width, often stamped on the back of the wheel
- The stud pattern, meaning how many bolts and how far apart
- The tyre size currently on the car, taken from the sidewall
If you are replacing the wheel because of impact damage, it is worth having the alignment checked at the same time. A hit hard enough to buckle a rim has often knocked the geometry out too, and that will start eating your new tyres straight away.
